The Kosovo Embassy in Germany has announced the new restrictive measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 taken on Wednesday in Germany.
It is announced that from March 8, the opening of stores will be allowed in areas that have a low infection rate below 50 per 100 thousand inhabitants in the time interval of seven days.
In case the numbers of infections will be declining, it has been decided to gradually open other activities.
The announcement also states that it has also been decided that starting from March 8, every citizen will be offered a quick test for free coronavirus.

Following the meeting between Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Prime Ministers of the L .nder regarding the further progress of the restrictive measures against the coronavirus pandemic, it was agreed that the lockdown currently in force until March 7 will be gradually eased.
From March 8, shops will be allowed to open in areas with a low infection rate, below 50 per 100,000 inhabitants in the seven-day time interval. In case the incidence is over 50, the “click and meet” shopping system will be applied, the customer can book a certain schedule with the respective shop for the purchase. With an incidence of more than 100 infections over three days in the affected area shops and other activities will be closed again.
Regarding the gastronomy sector, if the incidence below 50 is stable within the time frame of 14 days, then the premises that provide services in open spaces can be opened.
If the infection rates will be declining, it has been decided to gradually open other activities. With an incidence of less than 100 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with strict observance of hygiene rules, museums, zoos and botanical gardens as well as memorial sites can be opened.
Regarding the progress of vaccination, it is intended that starting from the beginning of April, more expert doctors and family doctors will be involved in this process. Currently vaccination takes place only in specially created centers.
It has also been decided that starting March 8, every citizen will be offered a free coronavirus test for free. Local testing centers will make the necessary infrastructure available.
The federation and the states agreed on the so-called “emergency brake” in case the seven-day incidence reaches 100. In such a case the opening decisions must be reversed.
