The Government of the Republic of Kosovo has allocated funds to support the “Awake” film campaign.

“The approval of the government cabinet has been received by the request of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, for financial support for the implementation of Measure 4.3 – Support of Culture and Sports. With the decision approved today, funds have been allocated in the amount of 95,725 euros which will be used to support the second part of the campaign of the film “Awake”, nominated by the Republic of Kosovo to compete in the 94th edition. of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, “Oscars”, is stated in Government decisions.
Let us remember that “Zgjoi”, directed by Blerta Basholli, has been included in the short list in the category “Best Foreign Language Film”. The final list of nominations for the Oscar nominee will be announced on February 8.
“Zgjoi”, starring actress Yllka Gashi, is inspired by the life and true story of Fahrije Hoti from Krusha e Madhe, who lost her husband during the last war in Kosovo and starts an agricultural business to ensure the family’s survival.
