The request for a discussion on the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities resulted in the absence of a tripartite meeting between Kosovo, Serbia and the EU last Friday.
The return of KAS to the negotiating table by the Serbian side is triggered by Kosovo’s application for membership in the Council of Europe.
In Kosovo, these are seen as justifications of the Serbian side, to influence the dialogue.
However, it is estimated that Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe should not hamper the dialogue process.
Meanwhile, according to Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, it was the right moment to apply.
Four days ago, Kosovo submitted its application for membership in the Council of Europe. Serbia opposed it, calling for the recognition of Kosovo.
