A large part of the fire on the island of Sazan has been extinguished, reports journalist Muhamed Veliu, in a direct connection with the show “Top Story”.
The northern part is extinct. There are 40 forces left that continue the efforts to extinguish the fire, but the helicopters that had to intervene from the air, are not in Albania at the moment, reports Veliu.
Dozens of centuries-old pines have been burned and continue to burn for the third day in Sazan. The Armed Forces last night fought with flames supported by ADZM, but extinguishing the fire was impossible. An obvious danger on the island are the remaining ammunition which can explode from the fire.
