The Socialist Movement for Integration announces that it has set up election headquarters to nominate mayoral candidates in the six municipalities, where elections will be held on March 6.
Through a statement, the SMI writes that it has started work on its role in the local by-elections. “According to the law, the SMI has an important role in the election administration, through its representatives in the CEAZ, in the polling stations, as well as in the counting tables.
The Electoral Headquarters of the SMI will be headed by the Regional Political Coordinator and will consist of: the Regional Political Coordinator, the Presidency of the SMI in the municipality, the chair of the women’s forum and the chair of the youth forum, the Delegate of the National Convention, according to respective municipalities ”.
The municipalities that currently do not have a mayor are Durrës, Shkodra, Dibra, Lushnja, Vora and Rrogozhina. The citizens of these municipalities will vote on March 6, while the parties are still expected to officially come out with their candidates.
