Ukraine claims to have killed 5,840 Russians since the beginning of the occupation.
The UK Ministry of Defense believes that Moscow forces have suffered heavy losses.
“According to information from our brigade, the battles are continuing. “The city is not completely occupied, some parts are under our control,” said a ministry spokesman.
Russian state media had previously reported that Russian troops had taken full control of the city.
