2 brothers were arrested, who were caught red-handed in an attempt to steal from a market in Elbasan.
Following the work for the prevention of property theft, the disclosure and legal documentation of previous thefts, the identification and capture of the suspected perpetrators, by the services of the Elbasan Police Station, based on the information received on the operative route that two citizens are were trying to steal from a market in the village of Katund i Ri, in Elbasan, the police operation codenamed “Walkers” was organized and successfully completed.
As a result of this operation, it became possible to catch and arrest the citizens in the act:
AK, 30 years old and IK, 24 years old (brothers), residents of Zdrajsh village, Librazhd.
These citizens were caught in the act, thanks to the timely intervention of the Police services, in an attempt to steal from the market owned by the RS citizen, in the village of Katund i Ri, Elbasan.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens are the authors of another theft that happened before, specifically:
On 17.06.2022, in the “Luigj Gurakuqi” neighborhood, Elbasan, a baby carriage and some other items were stolen from the MP citizen’s vehicle.
As material evidence, the tools used by these citizens to commit the thefts (a hammer and a drill) were seized.
The materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance Elbasan, for the criminal offenses “Theft”, “Destruction of property”, carried out in collaboration, remaining in the attempt and “Provision of means for theft”.
