After a year, a month and a week, Migen Memelli has decided to retire from the leadership of the Skënderbeu team after a not at all good situation for the Korça team, which is at the bottom of the Abissnet Superiore classification with 3 wins, 8 draws and 13 loss after 24 weeks championship.
“A decision entirely mine, I decided to leave as it is not too late, so as not to burden the team and players to have the opportunity to change face on the bench“, Says Migen Memelli.
Last year you did a miracle with this team with 9 wins, 4 draws and 9 losses while this time it seems like you are leaving somewhat surrendered. Is there a chance for Skanderbeg to escape relegation?
“After a communication I had with the club management I told him that it is better so that we can change and improve things as they are in time, there are still many points in the game and salvation is possible, very difficult, but possible“, He answers.
The new coach of Skënderbeu is Skënder Gega, have you communicated with him?
“Yes, I talked on the phone with Skënder, he is a very good coach, I wished him success in this new task. While for me Skanderbeg has been like a university on my new path as a coach”.
