Lionel Messi traveled this Monday to Jeddah, a city in Saudi Arabia, to sign an agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. In Saudi Arabia he was received by Ahmed Al Khateeb, line minister.
From France they reveal that Messi will have the role of ambassador of the Swedish country. Leo was accompanied by a relative and Leandro Paredes, one of his teammates on the Parisian team and in the Argentina National Team.
“I am happy to welcome Lionel. We are delighted that he is exploring the Red Sea treasure, Jeddah station, and our ancient history. “This is not his first visit to the Kingdom and it will not be his last.” stated the senior official of the government of Saudi Arabia.
The player himself posted a beautiful photo of himself on Instagram where it read: “Discovering the Red Sea. Visit Saudi Arabia! ”
Messi’s club, PSG, is owned by Qatar, a country that has had a strong diplomatic controversy for several years with Saudi Arabia, although on the eve of the World Cup, everything seems to be more normal. A peace that has probably made possible this agreement of the Argentine “star” with the Saudi country.
