Prime Minister Edi Rama has commented on the statements of President Ilir Meta regarding the theft of votes in the April 25 elections and his resignation as President.
Asked which one he is afraid of, Rama replied: “Why should I be afraid? You disappointed me, you talked about Iliri but you are also confused like Iliri so keep your smile and next time prepare better. “
Recall that the day before, Meta spoke in harsh tones saying that he will cut off the hand of anyone who steals the vote and in case Rama gets 71 seats, he will resign as President to join the opposition.
“Albania will enter the era of the rule of referendums after April 25. It will come out of the dark era. I have the vote against the oligarchy. I have the vote to say that the Albanian people are sovereign here. On behalf of the Albanian people, I will shake your hand. Let no one dare to play with the vote of the Albanian people. U prek Vota, u pre dora.
Mori Edi Rama 71 mandate? I will resign on April 26, that is what I will do, as Ramiz Alia did. If he gets 71 seats, without affecting the people’s vote, I will resign and I will switch to the opposition because I respect democracy. “But if a free vote of Albanians is affected, this is where the story ends.” tha Meta.
