The Ministry of Education and Sports, in cooperation with Special Olympics Albania and the Albanian National Olympic Committee (NOC) have launched the project “Sports for All”, which aims to engage and support students with different abilities in the education system.
“In the framework of the strategy of inclusive education and the principle of inclusive sports, I had the pleasure to sign a new agreement with Special Olympics Albania and the Albanian National Olympic Committee for the project ‘Sports for All'”, writes Minister Kushi on her social network.
The project includes all students with different abilities who are in the pre-university education system, engaging them in a competition through regional tournaments in 5 sports disciplines, Football, Basketball, Athletics, Ping-pong and Swimming.
Also, this project supports sports-based comprehensive schools, special schools and centers that care for people with intellectual disabilities, in order to improve the physical preparation and variety of sports disciplines.
