Difficulty breathing and loss of appetite are two not at all comfortable aspects of cold or flu. Blocking the nose from secretions can make life difficult but it happens temporarily.
The nostrils can be cleansed of secretions thanks to some natural cures that are good for the body.
Symptoms of Nose Blockage
Nasal congestion is accompanied by a dense accumulation of secretions, swelling of the nasal tissues and sinus pain. In newborns, nasal congestion can last for a month making it difficult to feed them. One of the most common causes of nasal congestion is inflammation in its nostrils. This can occur as a result of cold, flu or sinusitis. In cases of these problems, the situation improves quickly but there are cases such as chronic sinusitis, mold or allergies that prolong the difficulty in breathing.
Natural Cures For Unblocking The Noses
Apple cider vinegar
Experts recommend mixing a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of lukewarm water. This solution should be drunk once or twice a day. This cure works because of the acetic acid and potassium that dilute the secretions and fight germs.
Mint Tea
Mint tea can be prepared by boiling 8-10 mint leaves in water. Tea should be drunk once or twice a day. Menthol in mint fights inflammation and frees the nose from secretions.
Thyme Essential Oil
For this cure, it is instructed that you should boil water in a pot and pour 6-7 drops of thyme essential oil. Cover your head with a towel and smell the steam released by the boiled water with the essential oil. This cure works because the oil ingredients fight germs and inflammation in the airways. The same cure can be done with rosemary oil which also helps against coughs and colds in general.
Salt Water
Salt water can be poured into a nasal spray bottle and used on each nostril. This cure is effective in unblocking the nose but also works against allergies, colds and sinusitis.
Garlic
Boil water in a saucepan. Instructed to throw 3-5 crushed garlic essences and cover the head with a towel. Smell the steam released by the garlic and repeat the cure twice a day. Garlic is ideal against bacteria, germs and inflammation. / AgroWeb
