Democrat leader Basha has started his speech at the National Assembly that is being held at the Palace of Congresses, in front of thousands of Democrat supporters.
Basha said that this Assembly has gathered to tell truths that have long been without Albanians and that they have gathered in the name of truth, this according to Basha, the only way to liberate democracy.
“Delegates of the National Assembly of the Democratic Party, deputies of the Democratic Party, members of the presidency and the National Council of the Democratic Party, representatives of the Democratic Party, the heart of the Democratic Party, ladies of the democratic union of women, welcome to the National Assembly of the Democratic Party. I thank the three speakers, the anniversary, Ilir Dizdari and Rexhep Uka. I thank all the organizers, who made in a short time the National Assembly of Democrats. I am pleased to see you all together, in a day when we have so much to say, it takes patience and understanding, and for those who have had so much to say but have not been given the time and place, and like many others that we will vote for the decisions that Albania expects.
Brothers and sisters, we have not gathered to slap each other or the mayor, but to tell the truth that we have time without uttering them, we have just stuttered. I know that many can not wait to hear, some may be upset, today we have gathered in the name of truth, because it is the only way to the liberation of democracy. Choosing the future is a political stance in which we invite the representative, the delegates of the National Assembly. To all democrats, on behalf of all Albanians, that the essence of what they will bring out today will be decisive for the Albania of tomorrow. “How will the DP be today? Albania will be tomorrow”, said the Chief Democrat.
