The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, has issued a message while the meeting of the National Council is expected to start at 3 p.m.
“No one, including Sali Berisha, will have the chance to threaten the Democrats in their home. “The PD that was founded as the house of freedom, will not become a bunker for anyone, neither today nor ever”, says Basha in his message.

Honorable members of the National Council,
Today the National Council convenes at 15:00 to take important decisions for the future of the Democratic Party. PD will not be held hostage and will not be dragged by anyone! Nor from the one who today is endangering the future of the Democrats for his personal interest, in open war with the US. No one, including Sali Berisha, will have the chance to threaten the Democrats at home. The PD, which was founded as the house of freedom, will not become a bunker for anyone, neither today nor ever. We will continue liberated and determined our battle against the regime of Edi Rama to bring to power the Democratic Party, which is the only hope of Albanians for the future and for change!
