Bad weather has hampered the search for survivors in the Brazilian city of Petropolis, four days after devastating floods and landslides.
Rescue crews interrupted work several times during Saturday due to the rains. They said they are unlikely to find other survivors.
Officials say 146 people have died, including 27 children and young people, while 191 people are considered missing.
Over 900 people are housed in schools.
Rescue crews were using shovels to dig under the ground, as due to poor conditions they are unable to use other machinery.
In one of the most hit neighborhoods of Petropolis 80 houses have been damaged.
The floods started on Tuesday after heavy rains, which are expected to continue throughout February. Petropolis is a popular tourist town located north of Rio de Janeiro.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Friday declared the area a disaster area and said the city had experienced “great devastation, and scenes from there look like war scenes.”
