‘Negotiations with Sali Berisha, there will be neither today nor the weather.’ This is what the head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, said in a press release.
Regarding Fatmir Mediu’s proposal for the opposition to negotiate as the only one in the process, Balla said that this is an issue that belongs to them.
“It’s an issue that belongs to them, as long as they do not agree with each other, we have to negotiate with all three. As long as we have not exhausted the whole negotiation, the parliamentary tradition obliges us, at this stage this process takes place. We want a president with as much parliamentary consensus as possible. I want to express Rama’s position, we want to negotiate with opposition parliamentary groups.
Sali Berisha does not exist, not even as a parliamentary group, he is an independent deputy in the Albanian Parliament. It is not a parliamentary group. With Sali Berisha, there are neither, nor will there ever be negotiations for anything. For us it does not exist. And we have nothing to negotiate. Confirm what I know and believe, I know that the PD group results in the assembly, and the two groups led by Mediu and Doda. Therefore, the rules of procedure of the assembly have determined that it is a process within the walls of the Assembly.
During this process, the SP and its group will also consult decision-making coming from the party leadership. Let me repeat, the leader of the Socialist Party was clear in saying that the negotiations with Berisha are neither today nor the weather. ” said Balla.
