At the summit brought together by ministers of the region for transport and representatives of European Union member states, Prime Minister Edi Rama did not hide his reservations about Brussels, for the lack of proper attention on projects affecting the region.
“I do not know how many years to wait to build a railway segment from Tirana to Durrës, which is a railway segment of a neighborhood of a large metropolis, due to the bureaucracy in European institutions, this is something that really hurts a lot and really it creates a lot of frustration and goes completely against the great common goals. ”- said Rama.
At the regional transport summit, the Prime Minister gave details about the projects that are expected to be completed within this governing mandate.
“We are in an advanced stage of work for the Blue Corridor, one of the segments of this corridor is already under construction. The other segments are in the final stage of entering the international tender and we are very confident that in the framework of this third governing mandate, we will see a lot of fruit. “ said Rama.
Prime Minister Rama appeared optimistic about another project, that of integrated traffic management that is expected to be finalized within this year and the launch of the implementation of the “smart” road project.
