As you saw, we stood by the commitment to wait for a proposal from the opposition, as we said, with confidence and hope that the opposition will take responsibility for participating in the process. We will not leave the country without a president, of course, but by following the process and having a dialogue with everyone to cooperate. In the fourth and fifth rounds is an unlocking mechanism where no one can take the process and the election hostage. In no single moment have we received a proposal with concrete names. We have come to the moment of concluding the process, we will seek communication with the opposition deputies to provide great support.
I have to tell you that in the fourth round we will propose a candidate or candidates depending on the process that is going on. A serious political force also makes a preliminary process for the electorate. We have identified potential candidates. We want the president to be a moral self-portrait and not to belong to the Socialist Party but to all Albanians. In the following we will communicate to you more often about all the developments, there are some rules that must be respected. What we need to understand is that the process is nearing completion and all parties need to propose. Tomorrow around noon at 2pm there will be a meeting of the presidents conference and we will take the time needed to propose in the fourth round. Tomorrow you will hear my proposal on when the fourth round will be held.
Since I am at this point let me clarify one element, regarding a procedure followed by the Law Commission. As for Simon Miraka’s candidacy, we voted for him a few years ago, if we have nothing to do with him. In these conditions, it is impossible for Miraka to get the support of the Albanian Parliament.
