Prime Minister Edi Rama does not seem to agree with the opposition to give it the right to propose a name for President of the Republic.
“For what reason should the SP hand over the right to participate in the process, and transfer this right to whom. That on the other hand we have all sorts of bits and pieces, where the logic lies in this. We have gone through this process twice in opposition, under my leadership of the SP. Once when we had enough numbers to block, once when we did not have the numbers so the PD had the numbers to elect the president, and we sat at the table, we made our effort and moved on, despite the fact that the majority elected a president from the ranks of The party.
This is the role that the opposition has, to be open to agree on a name if it agrees, otherwise, the roads are divided and then votes are cast. ” – said Rama.
