The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has welcomed the decision of the US Treasury Department to extend sanctions for corrupt practices to the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik.
Osmani wrote on Twitter that in addition to corrupt activities, Dodik has threatened peace and security in Bosnia. She has also invited other countries to follow the example of the United States.
“Apart from corrupt activities, Dodik has actively threatened the peace, security and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. “I congratulate you on this decision and call on other international partners to take similar action,” Osmani wrote.
According to the Treasury Department, sanctions against Dodik mean that all property, interests in the property of individuals and entities involved in sanctions, which are in the US or owned or controlled by US citizens, are blocked and must be reported to the Office. for Foreign Assets Control, an office within the US Treasury Department. Sanctioned persons and entities are also barred from all transactions with US persons.
