The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that her position on the Association of Serbian Municipalities is the same as she had in 2013, mentioning that in the Assembly as a member of parliament she voted against the implementation of this agreement in Kosovo.
“The Association, as provided in the agreement, is one of the most harmful documents in terms of sovereignty and internal functionality of Kosovo.
Unfortunately, not much has been said about the damage done to Kosovo. It would be good for the Constitutional Court to act. “The damage still continues because in some cases there is still insistence from certain EU people who insist that it be implemented as it was signed then,” Osmani said.
She also emphasized the principles and reasons why the Association is opposed by Kosovo institutions.
“There can be no model that leads us to the Bosnianization of Kosovo. No model can be implemented that gives it executive powers and creates the Association as a third power that is consequently contrary to the Constitution, there can be no model that makes Kosovo dysfunctional. We look at everything, these are the basic principles that can not be done at all, these are principles to protect ourselves and not to make our state vulnerable for the future “, said Osmani
