PDK leader, Memli Krasniqi after meeting with Basha: The result of the March 6 elections to be accepted by political forces

In his speech before the journalists, the leader of the Democrats Basha emphasized that he talked with Mr. Krasniqi about the fight against corruption, independent institutions and according to him all these in the function of the welfare of the citizens.

For the DP leader, the main enemy of the welfare of citizens in both Albania and Kosovo, are and remain weak institutions and corruption. According to him, the fight against them, be it from the position of the parties that share the responsibility of governing, of course have the greatest responsibility, but also from those who have the responsibility of the opposition, are priorities and are the best service that can we make our countries and citizens.

“I had the special pleasure to welcome him not for the first time, but for the first time in the capacity of the chairman of PDK, Mr. Memli Krasniqi. I congratulate the role of the Democratic Party of Kosovo for the role it has played in the process of forming the state of Kosovo and for the role it continues to play as a constructive opposition in the service of the interests of the citizens of Kosovo. Of course we talked about the latest developments, in particular regarding the development of dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, the Democratic Party stands firmly in the same position in terms of the objective of dialogue which is mutual recognition between the two countries and in particular we shared the view that The return of strong coordination between the EU and the US is a good chance to push this dialogue forward and overcome obstacles where of course a great burden falls on the EU and the five member states. Recognition of the reality of the Republic of Kosovo will eventually avoid any scenario that arises in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that threatens not just the architecture of peace and stability in the Balkans, but the European peace and stability itself“, Said Basha.

The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Mr. Memli Krasniqi stressed that Kosovo and Albania have many common areas and it is necessary for the two countries to intensify coordination and increase even more cooperation. He wished success to Basha’s DP in the March 6 by-elections and said that these elections should be accepted by all.

“Kosovo and Albania have many areas that need to intensify cooperation and institutional coordination. Regardless of whether we are in government or opposition in our countries, cooperation is unquestionable and a priority. I wished him success in the electoral process, wishing above all a regular process acceptable to all that really takes and puts at the forefront the will of the citizens. We in Kosovo have the right to give ourselves a little right to talk about this issue because we are happy that we have managed to consolidate the democratic and electoral process“, Said Krasniqi.
