The launch of a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine would trigger Russia’s immediate clash with NATO, warns Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
It was Poland that announced it would formally present such a proposal at the North Atlantic Alliance summit, but Moscow seeks to stem the tide.
“I hope they understand what we are talking about here. “There will be direct clashes between the Russian armed forces and those of NATO, something that everyone has tried to avoid.”said Lavrov.
Lavrov’s comments came after Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the idea of Poland “careless and extremely dangerous.”
“Any possible confrontation between our troops and NATO forces will have consequences which will be difficult to repair“, Was his comment.
Foreign media immediately report that in an effort to curb mass desertions, President Putin has ordered the activation of teams of executioners who will shoot without warning any soldier leaving the war in Ukraine.
Moscow was expecting a quick victory in Ukraine, but persistent failures are irritating the Russian leadership, and are making its moves more ruthless.
