Colombian singer Shakira has offered her ex-husband Barcelona player Gerard Pique money to convince him to move their two sons to the United States.
Shakira proposes to cover all expenses for the maintenance of Sasha and Milan, the couple’s two children. The singer would also be willing to pay 20% of Pique’s debt, which stands at €2.5 million, and cover the cost of five first-class trips from Barcelona to Miami for Pique to allow the player to go and to visit the children in Miami.
Pique, who cheated on the music star with a 22-year-old waitress in Spain, is holding Shakira hostage, who now has nothing to do with Spain, and for this he uses Spanish legislation and another excuse he uses to stop children from fleeing to the US, is the bond between them and their grandparents.
Spanish media reports that there was also a private meeting between the two, where both were accompanied by their lawyers. The meeting was dominated by loud voices and arguments.
The media say that Pique was very adamant that he did not want the children to go live in Miami, arguing that it would be a traumatic experience for the children.
In Spain, the laws on the matter tend to protect the stability of minors, so pique is expected to make the most of this, causing Shakira difficulties in transferring to the United States.
