British Prime Minister Boris Johnson underwent a minor operation this Monday.
Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab will take every “important decision “ that is required to be taken before the prime minister returns to work on Tuesday, according to Sky News.
The prime minister’s official spokesman said Johnson went to a hospital in London around 6am on Monday for a routine procedure, at the NHS, regarding his sinuses.
He returned to Downing Street shortly after 10 a.m., the spokesman added.
Raab “Was aware of this in advance” and Cabinet Secretary Simon Case.
Johnson’s sinus surgery was not understood if it was related to COVID disease that passed in 2020.
Raab was in the post of prime minister at the time when Johnson was in intensive care at the height of the pandemic. He is expected to travel to the Commonwealth meeting of heads of government, which is taking place in Rwanda this week.
