In the final hours of the Assembly’s preparations to end the Basha era in the DP, US State Department envoys Karen Donfried and Gabriel Escobar chose to send a strong public message to Democrats: Americans do not recognize the Re-establishment Commission as a body leaders of the Democratic Party.
“I received the support of the ladies and the DASH and the US for their strong support for a strong, stable opposition, a pro-American opposition that looks to the future.”
The opposite of the future for Americans is Sali Berisha declared non-woman by the United States of America for major corruption. The fight against corruption seems to have been discussed at length in the meeting that senior DASH officials had with Jorida Tabaku, Gazment Bardhi and Enkelejd Alibeaj. The latter, when asked if Berisha was part of the conversation on this issue, did not deny it.
“You should know that in diplomatic meetings are said those issues that are important for Albania and Albanians. “I understand very well what I said to you, such as democracy, the rule of law, the fight against corruption.”
The fight against corruption was the main message of the Americans, but not the only one. On the right wing of US Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfried was US Ambassador Yuri Kim, who has recently been targeted by Berisha’s attacks and his supporters.
The visit of the Americans prevented Berisha from appearing at his weekly conference at the blue headquarters, but this headquarters was not the only one that was rejected by the Americans, and the presidency was bypassed by senior US officials, who had not planned a meeting with Ilir. The flaw.
