Walking in the afternoon, or sitting in a cafe, the citizens of Librazhd have watched from afar the protest that some girls of the capital, part of civil society organizations for the protection of women’s rights, held in their city.
No one took part in the protest, which was sparked by the rape of a girl by her husband’s family as she was caught in bed with her boyfriend.
But even though they did not become part of the protest, the citizens of Librazhd condemned the violence as the most unacceptable way to solve a problem.
The event took place a week ago, while the protests organized by the civil society aim at raising the awareness of the institutions which so far have not taken any measures for the serious case of rape and the publication of videos.
