“Stop Putin’s war,” “Make peace,” were the messages on some of the banners held by protesters in Hamburg, Germany, who, like tens of thousands of people across Europe, took to the streets again to express their support for Ukraine.
Similar views are coming from Munich and other German cities, where some of the participants not only stopped calling for an end to the war, but also demanded that Russian President Vladimir Putin answer before the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
“Together against Russian aggression” was the motto that rallied in many other parts of Europe, who also paid tribute to the brave Russians who, despite repression, came out in protest to raise their voices against the occupation of Ukraine. Thousands rallied in front of the White House calling for an end to the occupation, and for greater American support.
“Our brave soldiers are fighting on the ground, but the biggest attacks, the ones that are harming civilians and killing innocent people, are from the air. The biggest problem remains Russian bombs and missiles. We seek protection from heaven because we have our soldiers on earth, they protect the terrain. But we can not do if the bombing continues at this rate“, Said Hanna Bobrysheva.
“We want to show that Putin is not all Russians. That we are against the war, we are against this catastrophe that is happening, we have Ukrainian friends, we have relatives there. They are suffering a lot, but the Russian people will also suffer. They just probably do not understand how this war, this invasion will affect them… “said Kate, a Russian living in Virgnia.
