Speculation about Vladimir Putin’s health does not stop.
This time it is the British intelligence chief Richard Dearlove who raises allegations of a deterioration in the Russian president’s health.
Putin, according to Dearlove, suffers from a chronic illness from which he has no choice but to end up in hospital. “By the end of the year, you will have it in the sanatorium,” was his comment.
The man who served as head of the British intelligence service from 1999 to 2004 says Putin’s hospitalization will pave the way for his ouster.
According to British media, the Kremlin chief’s health deteriorated significantly on Friday and doctors advised him to avoid meetings for several days. The British press says the country is currently being run in his absence by the chairman of the National Security Council, former FSB agent Nikolai Patrushev.
Bellingcat’s Christo Grozev, a Russian security expert, also said a few days ago that senior Kremlin security officials already considered the war in Ukraine “lost.”
According to them, Putin is losing power and his trusted people are being reduced in number. The head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, told Sky News last week that Vladimir Putin, in addition to being quite physically ill, was also “in a very serious psychological state.”
Budanov expressed optimism that Ukraine would be able to defeat the enemy and that the war would “end by the end of the year.”
