6 million euros have been blocked by the authorities in Kosovo, on suspicion of having illegally benefited from the defendants involved in the case known as “Brezovica”.
Kosovo Police raided nine buildings in Pristina, Ferizaj and Strpce, including several offices of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. During the action, 4 people were arrested, including officials of this ministry.
The Chief Prosecutor of the Ferizaj Prosecutor’s Office, Shukri Jashari, said in a press conference that the detainees are suspected of abusing their official position and taking bribes.
The action was a continuation of the investigation of December 21, 2021 when ten people were handcuffed, including the former mayor of ërtrpce, Bratislav Nikollic, who is suspected of illegally issuing construction permits in Brezovica. The prosecutor in the case clarified that a number of documents, including water and environmental permits, had been obtained from the Ministry of Environment.
