The lack of cooperation between the government led by the socialists and the municipality of Shkodra by a democratic mayor, has made Shkodra not develop like other municipalities, according to the chairman of the Socialist Party Edi Rama.
In the concluding meeting of the election campaign, Rama asked the people of Shkodra to vote for the SP candidate Majlinda Angoni.
According to him, if Angoni wins the elections, the way will be opened for cooperation with the government and thus for new projects for the city.
“We need a municipality that has open doors for cooperation, that loves cooperation. On March 6, citizens in all six municipalities will vote for cleaner municipalities. We have come here to tell Shkodra that we are ready to do our best, we are ready to clean Shkodra from the garbage that is everywhere. We are ready to do more for Shkodra in every direction”.
The Democratic Party is running in Shkodra with Xhemal Bushatim, while the coalition “House of Freedom” with Bardh Spahina. On Sunday, the battle for the northern capital is expected to be the fiercest as the Socialists seek to break the Democratic stronghold, while right-wingers have the race within the genre.
