“There will be not only satellites, but there will also be intelligent drones that will help us take the country to another level in terms of managing its territory. “These are tools of a new technology that guarantees a monitoring of the territory for many things, from the borders, the constructions that are carried out in the territory, to the monitoring related to the information that the state structures need in the fight against trafficking”.
This statement of Prime Minister Edi Rama in October last year created a lot of surprise and noise. This wish of the Prime Minister to have two satellites has not yet become a reality.
However, the Prime Minister has not archived this project. From the conference “Technology and Innovation in Agriculture and Livestock” the Prime Minister showed when Albania can have its two satellites.
“On the one hand with the farm register, the digital farm register and the use of drones and satellites for reasons of procedures, etc. they have received a little more than we had anticipated, but that will come within this year “, said Rama.
A year ago the prime minister met with engineers from a company who explained how several other satellites had been launched into space.
