Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted this Wednesday for the first time on the arrest of the former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, after accusations of corrupt tenders by the Special Prosecution against Organized Crime and Corruption.
In a comment returned to a Facebook follower, Rama explains that he is not impressed by Koka’s arrest, adding that the Government unconditionally supports the Justice Reform and will not become a shield for anyone, under the guise of the Socialist Party.
“The muddy euphoria of those who do politics with accusations and the motto slanders and slanders that something will remain, because of the ban yesterday by SPAKU of the former Minister of Environment, does not impress me, because on the one hand the investment in Elbasan is there, in the eyes of everyone and based on the contract and is already part of the Municipality of Elbasan that will serve to continue to protect the area from pollution, while on the other hand the issue of the former minister with SPAK and justice, is not neither political issues, nor party issues, nor collective issues, but an individual issue“, Said Rama.
The Prime Minister stressed that since the first day of his rule, one rule has not changed: Whoever he is, regardless of party, must face justice himself.
“Any of us, who is taken as a defendant by the independent judiciary, must face justice together with his lawyer, because the Socialist Party is not a law firm of any of us and until the final court decision, none of us who has working with justice can not be part of our political family“, Said Rama.
