Prime Minister Edi Rama this Thursday considered the publication of citizens’ salaries as an ugly event, not forgetting to call on private companies to self-regulate by January 20 or otherwise they will be punished for tax evasion.
In a press conference, Rama said that such an event can be considered “as a bad thing that does not always come for bad”, for which he said that the exposure of personal salaries is unacceptable, but today there is a significant picture in the eyes of all Albanians.
“No one can tell us they are attacking someone. Starting with you media. It is not a situation that we had to take the data for us to understand. No one will tell us now that we are attacking the media, demanding from them and not only from them, but from all companies that give fictitious salaries to fix their statements“, Said Rama.
The Prime Minister stressed that private companies in Albania will be required to self-regulate by January 20, as this date corresponds to the new regulations.
“If they do not self-regulate, they will be punished for tax evasion“, He said.
