The lottery for the distribution of the apartments of one of the two reconstructed buildings in the city of Durrës, after the damage from the earthquake, has been accompanied by dissatisfaction from a part of the residents.
While the building near the Durrës Police Directorate is nearing completion, the public lottery for the distribution of apartments for the families that will be accommodated in it was thrown in the hall of the Municipal Council.
The municipality turned to the lottery, as the only possibility as the residents of the palace did not reach the agreement between them to get the apartments on the previous floors, while the structure of the once 5-storey building has changed.
After the reconstruction, the building has become 8 floors, offering larger areas. During the withdrawal of ballots for the division of 1 + 1, 2 + 1 and 3 + 1 apartments, some of the residents expressed their dissatisfaction with the division of the apartments in this way. Dissatisfaction is related to residential floors.
According to the lottery regulations, the first to withdraw the ballots were families with disabilities and retirees. There are also those who are considering appealing this lottery in court.
Building no. 1062 was among the first buildings to be demolished in the city of Durrës, after the second act-expertise made it uninhabitable.
This building, together with the so-called VIP palace on Dyrrah Boulevard, are the first to be demolished and their reconstruction is almost complete and families will soon be accommodated in them.
