400 students of Kavaja will start the new school year in a reconstructed school, after the damage suffered by the earthquake of November 2019. The political leader of the Socialist Party for Kavaja, inspected the works in the 9-year school “Fiqiri Kurti”, which will be also preschool.
“The fact is that 400 children, who have 400 dreams and 400 aspirations, will start school here, from the age of 4 until they go to the gymnasium, in a school with European standards. “I am very grateful to the colleagues of the European Union, who have undertaken the reconstruction”, said Veliaj.
With the reconstruction of the school, the education of children for 400 families of Kavaja is solved. “I can’t wait to see the end of the work – now that time has opened, we can move on to the fifth. The quality of the school will make us all proud, we can say that it was worth it to do something many times more beautiful “, he continued.
Further, Veliaj added that in September the construction of 11 new schools in Kavaja and 40 in Tirana will begin.
“We will have the reputation of those who built schools and did not build fences, walls, occupations and wonders. Today we are in a situation when only in Tirana we have about 800 construction sites, in Kavaja we have 100 construction sites, we are working everywhere. “If these construction sites will turn white, with new houses, new buildings, new schools, all this effort has been worth it”, concluded the mayor.
The 9-year school “Fiqiri Kurti” was damaged by the earthquakes of November 2019. After the reconstruction, the school will have an increased capacity and with all the necessary tools for the progress of teaching. Its structure is much stronger and with a heating system.
