Tirana Traffic Police has increased the controls last week, in preventing road events and punishing drivers who abuse traffic rules.
27 citizens were caught and arrested by the Traffic Police services, for driving while intoxicated or without a driving license, for bribery, forgery of documents and violation of the security measure “Home arrest”.
115 driving licenses have been suspended, for driving under the influence of alcohol, for speeding and driving in the opposite direction.
6932 administrative measures have been imposed, with an average of 990 measures per day, namely:
– 73 measures for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages;
– 128 measures for non-speed regulation / speed racing;
– 115 for black glass;
– 325 measures for wrong overtaking;
– 1037 measures for the use of mobile phone device while driving;
– 559 measures for not wearing a seat belt;
– 116 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;
– 93 administrative measures for lack of insurance;
-3188 administrative measures for wrong stay / rest of the vehicle;
– 1298 for various violations.
- 10 luxury vehicles were blocked, for lack of documentation and with foreign license plates, which were passed for further verifications to the Section Against Illegal Trafficking in DVP Tirana.
- 32 traffic licenses were withdrawn, for unpaid obligations, and 12 expired license plates were removed.
Tirana Traffic Police thanks the road users who follow the rules of the road and invites the citizens to report to 112 of the Digital Commissariat, any illegality.
