US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned that Russia could attack Ukraine suddenly, but said he expected strong reactions if it did.
The US Secretary of State made the remarks a day after visiting the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, where tensions and anxiety over a possible invasion have been running high for months. Blinken said Russia’s actions against Ukraine are an attempt to overthrow international norms and are just the latest violation among some that Moscow has undertaken in violation of countless other international treaties, agreements and commitments, to the detriment of sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries.
