Two people were killed by Russian missiles hitting a residential area in western Kiev early Tuesday morning, Ukraine’s Emergency Services reported.
A 16-storey apartment building in the Sviatoshynskyi neighborhood was severely damaged by the blast that caused a fire.
Two people were found dead at the scene and 46 were rescued from the building.
A similar shock caused minor damage to a nine-story building in the same area, emergency services said.
At least four apartment buildings across the Ukrainian capital were hit by rockets Tuesday morning.
