As Russia launches its military incursion inside Ukraine into what President Putin called a ‘special demilitarization or denationalization mission’, girls in Ukraine’s second largest city, Karkiv – 30 km from the Russian border, are surprised by the large number of messages from Russian soldiers in uniform, in networks of new acquaintances.
Large Russian soldiers named Andrei or Alexander, Gregory, Michail and even a Chechen fighter named “Black” were among dozens of new profiles seeking to meet Ukrainians near the border.
The development comes as the Red Army was launching missiles at strategic locations in Ukraine.
Dasha Synelnikova said her cell phone was illuminated by dozens of images of Russian soldiers stationed near the city of Kharkiv and launched activity on the new Tinder dating network.
Dasha, 33, told the British daily The Sun yesterday: “I actually live in Kiev but I changed my location in Krakivw after a friend told me that Russian troops had landed on the Tinder dating network.”
“I could not believe my eyes when they came out trying to look strong and interesting.”
“A muscular boy was trying to look sexy by posing with a pistol while he slept.”
“While another was in full military uniform and a thin skirt with belts.”
“I did not like any of them because I would never go to bed with the enemy,” says the girl, adding that she had ‘rejected’ them all.
“Of course I refused everyone but I was curious to exchange a message. It was both cute and scary at the same time. “They were so close,” she added.
Dasha says she started communicating with 31-year-old Andrei – who posed in the photo with Kalashnikov in military uniform and helmet.
Here is their conversation:
Dasha: “Where are you? Are you here in Kharkiv?
Andrei: “Yes, but I’m not in Kharkiv, I’m close – 80km away.”
Dasha: “Do you plan to come here to us?”
Andrei: “I would be happy to come but we have not been welcomed in Ukraine since 2014 [kur forcat ruse aneksuan Krimenë.
Dasha: “Me se merreni?”
Andrei: “Kam lindur në Belgorod dhe më parë vizitoja shpesh Kharkiv. Më pëlqejnë udhëtimet por tani është kohë e vështirë.”
