Well-known Albanian actor Anastas Kristofori has passed away at the age of 78.
Christopher was widely known and will long be remembered for his role as Pericles in the comedy Palace 176.
The news was confirmed by friends and relatives of the actor who posted on the networks condolences for the separation from his life.
The burial ceremony of the ‘Merited Artist’ will take place tomorrow in Vuno.
Anastas Kristofori was born in the village of Vuno, Vlora, on November 28, 1943. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts, branch of drama, in 1970 and immediately afterwards was appointed actor in the People’s Theater * until he retired in 2003. He stood out as a student with the role of Karandishev in N. Ostrovski’s drama Girl without a dowry (1970). His gifts to characterize original figures, accompanied by a sense of humor, concrete words and a sense of authenticity, gave him the chance to be a favorite actor in many performances of the National Theater, such as the Fisherman Family (Vehipi) ,

Balashi *, which continued in two TV series written by I. Bezhani *, a continuation of this comedy, but now with the changed fate of characters in the circumstances that were created after the collapse of the dictatorship. The humor, the irony towards the other, on the one hand, and the anger and despair towards oneself and fate, on the other, were intertwined with a subtle sense of humor, with the effortless delivery of comics in the embodiment of this role. He has acted in 7 films, of which the most realized and most complete was the role of the economist in the film Poppies on the Wall (1976). A. Kristofori was one of the passionate and successful reciters of Albanian poetry. After the 90s he was for a while the director of the National Theater. Holds the title of Merited Artist.
