A 16-year-old “sadistic and wicked” woman was jailed yesterday in Britain for beating a psychiatrist to death in a serious homophobic attack, which neighbors said had derailed after her parents separated.
Dionne Timms-Williams was reportedly having fun and laughing as she kicked Dr Gary Jenkins during a brutal robbery in Cardiff, Wales on July 20 last year.
She was sentenced to 28 years in prison for murder by the court of Merthyr Tydfil, while Jason Edwards, 25, and Lee Strickland, 36, were sentenced to a minimum of 33 years behind bars.
Timms-Williams had incited her accomplices in the murder by saying, “Bravo, I need this, Dr. Jenkins is dying,” and even in the photos of the police arrest she was grinning without any sign of remorse.
Judge Daniel Williams said the savage attack by the youth trio was motivated by homophobia.
ETimms-Williams neighbors said she was a quiet girl and told of their shock when they learned she could do something like that.
One of the neighbors told the British daily The Sun.“We are all shocked by this horrific murder. “Dionne comes from two wonderful parents, and yet she has done it.”
Timms-Williams, who lived with her mother a company director north of Cardiff, reportedly was shocked by her parents’ separation, though that does not explain the macabre murder.
Another neighbor added: “Believe it or not Dionne was a wonderful girl. “She was always calm, friendly and polite.”
Neighbors indicated that Timms-Williams was a girl who spent her free time helping her mechanical father repair vehicles.
Serious recordings from the event had captured the moment when the trio of youngsters pushed each other during the macabre attack of at least 15 minutes.
Timms-Williams was heard to say, “Sit down, hit again.” She further called the victim a “dirty pig”.
Dr Jenkins lived alone in Cardiff after separating from his wife six years ago.
Timms-Williams told the court he joined the attack for fear of revenge on the two boys if he did not.
The three defendants made no reaction as they were brought from the courtroom to be escorted to the cell.
