Scary aerial views recently came from a massive graveyard of fighter jets from the U.S. state of Arizona, where thousands of unused drones are lined up in regular rows at the last resting place in the desert.
German photography Bernhard Lang captured amazing views near maintenance and regeneration air base 309 in Tucson.
All queues are organized according to mass models, including civilian aircraft left without activities.
About 4,000 aircraft are deployed at the Davis-Monthan base over an area of more than 100 hectares, making it the largest embankment of its kind in the world.
Military aircraft can be parked here, dismantled or recycled.
Their components can be removed, resold and the basic materials sent for recycling.
Dry conditions and strong ground make the base the ideal place for storing aircraft, as even the heaviest aircraft do not sink or be damaged to the surface.
Some of the aircraft preserved as the Tupolev Tu-144 Concorde are expected to be housed in museums but most are expected to ‘die’ here if they do not find service or utilization for their parts.
