Roberto Garcia, the ex-boyfriend of one of Shakira’s sisters has recently stated that Pique’s betrayal was not the reason for the couple’s separation.
He pointed out that in fact the problems between the former couple had started long ago and the reason was money. In an interview for the Spanish media “Esdiario”, Shakira’s ex-brother-in-law said that Pique had asked for a loan some time ago to invest in other businesses, but, influenced by her parents, Shakira had not accepted. Garcia states that:
“According to what a person very close to them told me, there was an economic problem between the two. It is alleged that Pique would have asked Shakira for money for an investment case and the singer’s family refused to give it to him. “They did not mix their money and keep the household at 50%.”
Top Albania Radio writes that the famous singer Carlos Vives has also recently shown that Shakira is going through a difficult period after her separation from the footballer.
Vives, who released the song ‘La Bicicleta’ in collaboration with the artist in 2016, admitted that Shakira has not been very good lately.
He said while attending a gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of Cadena 100 music radio:
“She is very sad. “She is going through a very difficult time.”
Meanwhile, everything points to a legal battle between the Colombian singer and the Spanish footballer because, although they were never married, it is very likely that their disagreements in choosing what is best for the two children will force them go before a court to decide on the rights and obligations between them.
