Sinead O’Connor has canceled live performances for this year following the death of her musician son Donal Lunny.
Shane O’Connor died earlier this year at the age of 17.
In a statement the representatives of the famous Irish singer said that this was not an easy decision for the singer, but canceled the performances for her health and well-being from the constant pain of loss.
“We want to announce that out of grief over the loss of her beloved son Shane earlier this year, Sinead O’Connor will not be performing ‘live’ in 2022,” the statement said.
“We want to thank the Sinead agency, ICM, who have treated the issue with respect and dignity, working tirelessly.”
Shane O’Connor died on January 17 this year.
His body was found in the town of Bray after he was reported missing.
The singer said at the time: “My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, decided to end the confrontation on earth and is now with God. “He rested in peace and let no one follow his example.”
