Music was heard for the first time in the medieval cultural monument church “Shën Premte” in Balldre in Lezha.
Inside this cult object of the 13th century and which was restored in 2019, a classical music concert was held which attracted many classical music lovers but not only.
This innovation came from two Kosovar artists, flautist Nina Shala and guitarist Drilon Çoçaj. Their desire came after many concerts in Kosovo, their tour to continue in Albania.
After seeing the photos of this church with extraordinary historical values, they say that it was their desire to play music, thus promoting the values of this historical cult.
This cultural event was organized on the initiative of the researcher Dom Nik Ukgjini, who says that because of our history in this church, there may be centuries without music. He adds that classical music is the soul of the arboretum people, and this concert came as an idea to bring back the medieval nostalgia of the arboretum people, and giving more space to the promotion of the history of the historical areas of Lezha.
The classical music concert in the medieval church of “Saint Friday” lasted about 60 minutes and attracted the attention of many present.
Such activities add more attention to areas of historical value, where fortunately Lezha is characterized by many of them.
