The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj said that SPAK should investigate all areas, while giving an example for the reconstructed school of “Sami Frashëri”.
In an interview with Sokol Balla for “Top Story” from New York, Veliaj showed how SPAK is investigating a temporary toilet in this school, while expressing his conviction that the prosecutor will conclude that there is no abuse.
“Let me give you a case where it looks like I’m doing the lawyer for something the lawyer does not deserve because it was a public outcry to act here. I have no problem that SPAK is investigating the dividing wall between the school “Sami Frashëri” and the tekke and a toilet made there provisionally to drive a nail. I have no personal benefit from Sami Frashëri that I do not live there, I have not added a floor and I am no longer a student. I conflict of interest and this conclusion will reach even SPAK. That toilet is no longer physically there and when you look at how the opposition has set up these, it is not a private house it belongs to the municipality. Chances are it will be closed that there are no abuses. This is where the public interest prevails“, Said Erion Veliaj.
