A family from Kiev decided to return to the apartment after a hard night in a shelter, but found only bullets and destruction.
CNN brings the story of Victoria and her family, who returned to the apartment this morning after spending the night in a shelter and realizing that the decision to leave saved her life.
During the night, the bullets pierced the two windows of their apartment, while other bullets remained on the floor.
“I realized that there is no place where I can feel safe now. My house is no longer my castle. It rumbles, explodes, shoots all the time. It becomes even more disturbing in moments of silence because you know they will not last“Victoria told CNN.
Viktoriya and her family have spent most of their time in shelters. They have a small son and worry that they may keep him safe in their apartment.
“Life changed completely in just a moment and already others decide for our lives. The war has only lasted four days so far, but it seems like it has been with us for an infinitely long time. It’s a terrible feeling“, She added.
