A group of bears have been spotted under a house in California – after strange noises like ‘snoring’ had been heard there for months.
The family of hairy animals had found a space under the house that had the right size for them.
While the human owners of the house simply did not notice the strange noises, because according to them “did not make sense.”
Even the neighbors of the house had heard small snorts during the winter time, but when the bears had woken up from their incubation sleep the noises had increased.
So a group from the animal charity ‘Bear League’, came to investigate and make sure the area bears live in harmony with humans.
They found there a golden mother with four little ones who had occupied the small space. It later turned out that one of the puppies was not of one blood with the family but adopted.
The Bear League group wrote in a Facebook post: “When it came time to hibernate, the golden mother had found a house with a somewhat acceptable opening under it, took her children and told them to go inside, stay calm. and to sleep ”.
“It was a house where people live and they had heard some light screams, snoring noises, but they just did not listen because they did not make sense.”
“The bear family was ousted last week safely by our activists, who explained that they never hurt the bears, even though they may have ‘hurt their feelings’.”
The golden mother had waited farther away until her puppies came out and followed her.
The head of the ‘Bear League’ organization, Ann Bryant said for the network Huffington Post: “The occupants of the house did not even know they had five bears living under their house.”
“They were beginning to realize that there might be a noisy bear, but when they started coming out we counted five.”
“Every year 100 to 150 of our bears try to hibernate hibernating under the houses of the town of Tahoe.
“We have been quite busy removing bears from the spaces where they crawl, sometimes some bears during the day. An electric fence is then placed to stop the moving animals from returning.
