We publicly call on the Minister of Agriculture to distance himself from the irresponsible behavior of two dependent institutions, the “Institute of Food Safety and Veterinary” and the “National Authority of Veterinary and Plant Protection” which in flagrant violation of the law have allowed for more more than 20 days a chaotic situation not reaching the final diagnosis in time “.
This Association, as well as all Albanian consumers are already waiting for the decisions of Minister Frida Krifca, otherwise warns of the launch of SPAK, a body that in fact does not have to wait for the turtle steps full of bureaucracy of the state administration.
“For actions and inactions in time of the responsible institutions ISUV and AKVMB, the Minister of Agriculture must refer to the competent bodies a clean and impartial investigation as the life of the Consumer is endangered. We as an organization that has primary consumer protection and local producers will wait for the distancing of the Minister of Agriculture. The opposite will show that the minister is part of the situation created, with consequences for both consumers and local producers, endangering not only the lives of citizens but also poultry economies in Albania.
This event once again highlights the inability of state employees to become food security guards.
